Originally hailing from the Netherlands, Nikie followed in the footsteps of her Dutch ancestors and settled in the beautiful Hudson Valley in 1998. She fell in love with the spectacular scenery and the unique combination of the small town feel and big city cultural opportunities the area is known for.
Complementing her work as real estate sales agent, Nikie undertook a rigorous training program culminating in a New York State Certified Appraiser license. Her valuation expertise gives her an unparalleled knowledge of the local real estate market and allows her to help buyers and sellers make sound decisions based on up-to-date market data and in-depth analysis. A focused listener, Nikie’s approach is direct and successful: she listens to the client’s needs, matches them to the right property or buyer, and assures an honest and efficient transaction.
As a mother, Nikie is an active and involved member of the community. She enjoys growing her own vegetables, reading, or taking a stroll in one of the area’s many amazing parks.
Hi, I’m Marilyn Heuer, and I received my license in 2009, and have been with Cautela Realty since then. I’ve enjoyed working with the professional staff that is in this office. With family in the construction and renovation business locally, I’ve gained an immeasurable amount of perspective when it comes to homes from a contractor’s point of view. I use that experience when helping clients who wish to purchase a home that needs any degree of “work”, and also with sellers who want to know how to get their home ready for the market.
I also worked 24 years at Mill Road School in Red Hook in the computer lab and retired in June 2010. My husband and I enjoy driving around in our 1955 Chevy and traveling and discovering different parts of the country, but we always look forward to coming home to the beautiful Hudson Valley, where there is no better place to own your own home.

She is in the process of pursuing her Real Estate Salesperson License, and thrilled to be able to uphold the client centered approach that R.P. Cautela Realty has maintained for over 40 years.
When she isn’t at work, you’ll find Cheryl looking for another adventure to experience with her nieces, nephew, and rescue dog Maisy, reading, immersing herself in the world of American military history, or riding around on one of her motorcycles or snowmobile!
